  • Today we learned more about how to create a part drawing and we completed the nameplate project. I will provide examples of what I learned below.
  • created a base
  • lip part
  • chose a color
  • created the assembly/ finish product

After completing the nameplate project, do you find SolidWorks to be getting easier to learn compared to when you first started? Please explain.

1.selected a corner rectangle

2. dimensions 120 mm/120 mm

3. removed the front face with a thickness of 4

4. fillet the four edges *Radius 10

5. created the lip part

this was the hardest part for me, for some reason i did different measurements between part 1 and part 2 so it was a challenge for me. I had to create part 1 all over again and. It was a little easier to create the part two but putting it together was a challenge. paying attention to details is very important when it comes to creating things on solid work and creating a finish product cause measurement fit with one another you would have to start one of them. but it was fun and challenging.
